Dr Hilary Jones's personal experience of the Spine Align XPT-11R T-Shirt

As a GP and TV doctor I always evaluate treatments and products thoroughly before I recommend them.

When I myself had shoulder surgery last summer I had good reason to trial the Spine Align T-shirt. I had had severe pain and limitation of movement in my right shoulder due to impingement of a tendon under the acromioclavicular joint together with a rotator cuff tear.

Like thousands of other people who enjoy exercise and sport like me, and equally the thousands who don't necessarily, shoulder problems are common yet troublesome, inconvenient and persistent.

I knew the rehab would be lengthy and require hard work on my part but even with specialist physiotherapy and a tailored exercise program I found the benefit of the Spine Align substantial.
From the first time, I wore it I could feel the powerful pull of the elasticated reinforced fibres and my shoulders immediately became aligned correctly.  I no longer felt hunched over (as people often tend to be when their pectoral muscles exert a stronger pull on their shoulders in a forward direction than the scapular muscles at the back) and the whole posture of my back improved. I stood straighter and walked taller. Even other people noticed it.

With regular wear, without even noticing I had the garment on, my posture improved further and soon, through learned muscle memory, this continued even when the T-shirt was in the wash.

My shoulder is good now, strong again, but I still regularly use Spine Align when exercising as it acts as a great support and its postural correction reminds me every time of the bad habits I used to be guilty of when training in the past.

For anyone with shoulder, back or neck problems I strongly recommend the T-shirt and it would be equally useful for anyone with sternocostal chest pain (which I see so often in the surgery - pain in the front of the chest where the ribs join the breastbone at the sternocostal joints which  become inflamed and painful as a result of sitting at a desk all day).

It certainly works for me and I'm confident in saying I'm sure it could work for you.
